Food for thought – Share the Blessing

As the cottage season begins to wind down, and let’s face it, no one likes the thoughts of closing the cottage up for the season but there can be a positive side to this! Once again the Mazinaw Property Owners Association is partnering up with two local businesses for a great community initiative!

As you empty your cupboards for the season, we invite you to consider donating your non-perishable food items to the Northbrook Food Bank. We leave each summer with so many good memories, this is a great opportunity to leave something for others.

This year, Brown’s Tent and Trailer Park at the north end of the Mazinaw, and Hooks Castle Building Centre, located at 13586 Highway #41 between Cloyne and Northbrook , have graciously offered to provide bins where you can leave your food items. At Brown’s, the bin will be up at the office, and at Hooks the bin will be on the lower driveway near the fence in front of the house. Both will be labeled.

The bins will be available at both locations from Labour Day Weekend until Thanksgiving weekend.
