Logs on the Upper Mazinaw
Caution to Boaters
Last night (July 11) the little serene river in Barber Bay (upper Mazinaw) was roaring, gushing out a disgusting odor, debris, and many huge logs. We assume a beaver dam somewhere up steam must have given way after all the rain.
Please be very vigilant when boating over the next several days as you could drive over some of this. As well, for the people in Barber Bay, you might not want to use the water for drinking (if you have it treated) until this all settles. Usually our water in front of our cottage is crystal clear but it is quite merky.
